To make garlic naan , take a lime size dough ball and roll it in to an elliptical shape / naan shape of 5 - 6 mm in thickness. The naan should be thick or else a thin naan will get very hard.
Now sprinkle the finely chopped garlic, coriander, mint leaves and kalonji according to your liking.
Heat tawa on a high flame. The tawa should preferably be an iron cast.
Now flip the naan and apply a layer of water of the plain side.
Switch the flame to high and stick the water side of naan on the tawa with the topping side facing the flame.
Let the naan cook for 1/2 minute till it develops bubbles and starts to get brown.
It is important to check the naan and rotating the tawa or else some place might get black holes.
When nicely brown with the help of a flat spatula take it off and smear a liberal amount of butter.
